A CMS author contributes content to the repository of documents, images and other means of information. Thus, an author may create new (web) documents and change the content of documents, using the online word-processor of the CMS, upload images and other files in the CMS repository and add meta-data to them. An author may also create folders. Mostly, the CMS will be configured so that a author may not delete a folder or document. He may request that the editor does that.
