Upgrading a custom CMS from using Hippo CMS release 7.1 to 7.2
New in version:7.2Below you find a list of upgrade steps. If your project includes some specialities you may have to do some extra steps. You can ask your questions on the Hippo CMS forum.

Create a backup of your repository to make sure that nothing is lost in the automated upgrade by the 7.2 repository.

Update version numbers in the project pom. | |
| Upgrade Project Content |
How to upgrade the initialization xml and cnd files to 7.2. These are the files containing initial content, document types and templates. | |
| Upgrade The CND Files |
Update namespace declarations in CND files. | |
| Synchronize Indexing Configuration |
The default indexing configuration has changed. If you created your own configuration, make sure that it is compatible with the 7.2. | |
| Prepare Production Upgrade |
Create an upgrade path for a deployed CMS. Whereas content and templates are upgraded by the repository itself, the configuration tree will likely need some re-initialization. | |
| HST Configuration Editor Upgrade |
Re-initialize the HST Configuration Editor. |
